FAQS ABOUT Weekly Memberships
Here are some frequently asked questions about membership at Aloha Rock Gym.
Is there an option to pause the weekly membership?
Yes! You can freeze your weekly membership for $5/wk with 30 days notice. This keeps your membership intact. No need to repay the registration fee.
Will there be a family membership option?
Because families come in so many shapes and sizes on Maui we decided the simplest way to handle it would be to do à la carte pricing and discount the youth and keiki pricing so people can build their own family plan.
We definitely want as many families in here climbing together as possible.
Is the $35/week membership a full year commitment or can I cancel it anytime?
You can cancel the weekly membership with 30 days notice.
Is the registration fee weekly also? How many times do I have to pay that?
Your registration fee covers you for as long as your membership stays intact. If you cancel and choose to rejoin later, a new registration fee will apply at that time. (Your membership is still intact if you are paying the freeze fee.)
Do Youth Programs have a separate membership or cost?
We aren’t running Youth Programming yet, but after opening this will be our focus! Youth Programs are separate from Youth and Keiki membership and will have a separate cost. We will send out info to our newsletter when it becomes available.
What is a Kōkua membership?
Give a little, help a lot.
The word kokua is often defined as "help," but at a deeper level signifies the concept of mutual support and cooperation without the expectation of personal gain. Our team at Aloha Rock Gym knows that climbing is powerful—but it becomes truly transformative when shared with others.
The Kokua Membership is a way for you to share climbing with those who need it the most, and that’s why we’re partnering with Imua Family Services (see RAK) and MEO Youth Services to ensure that under-served and at-risk youth across the island have open, welcoming access to the gym. Whether the barriers are financial, transportation-related, emotional, or physical, we’re committed to breaking them down. We believe everyone deserves to climb.
Our Kokua program and its membership is a simple way to give back while doing what you love: climbing, connecting, and supporting our island community. For only $10 more per week, you can make an outsized impact in the life of under-served boys and girls on Maui by ensuring they have access to climbing, no matter the difficulties in their lives and households. We are honored to partner with some of the best non-profit partners on Maui to maximize impact.
Please consider supporting Maui youth by choosing a Kokua membership.

Our Kōkua Program Mission
We're grateful for everything that our non-profit community partners (Imua Family Services and MEO Youth Services) are doing to improve the lives of under-served and at-risk youth on Maui. We share a lot in common with their mission, vision, and values, and we bet you do too.
Our goal is to have immediate impact on the community, and our Kokua members will be the bedrock of how this happens. We hope you will join us in this shared mission.
